Consolidated credit counseling companies offer many valuable services. However, many believe that the only service available is debt consolidation. They can give free or low-cost debt management advice on a host of money-related topics. Our services include, but are not limited to, buying a home, teaching your children about budgeting and credit cards, and saving for college.
ACCC’s Consolidated Credit Counseling Services
American Consumer Credit Counseling offers a range of consolidated credit counseling services in five distinct categories:
Credit Counseling
When you call ACCC, we help you assess your financial situation. We talk about your financial goals, review your income, assets, and expenses. Then, based on the results of your credit counseling session, we will present individualized debt relief solutions to help you achieve your goals.
Debt Management Program
Our debt management program (DMP) is an example of one of the debt relief options your credit counselor may explain to you during your counseling session. If you are overwhelmed with a lot of unsecured debt, then our debt management program may be your best option. With this plan, we help you how to consolidate your debt into a single monthly payment without taking out a new, risky loan. A DMP can help you lower interest rates, eliminate extra fees, and become debt-free in a fraction of the time.
Bankruptcy Counseling
ACCC is approved by the U.S. Department of Justice to provide pre- and post-bankruptcy credit counseling. We evaluate your current situation to allow you and your legal counsel to make informed decisions. In many cases, we can even help you find manageable, effective alternatives to bankruptcy. We are also approved to provide post-bankruptcy credit counseling courses. This is also known as debtor education.
Housing Counseling
As a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development approved agency, we provide access to information, tools, and resources that will help you achieve your housing goals. From home buying, to foreclosure prevention, to reverse mortgage counseling, we’ve got you covered!
Student Loan Counseling
If you’re struggling to pay student loans, have defaulted on loans, or are otherwise having trouble, our student loan department can help you better understand your options and help you make a repayment plan.
