Have a date night at the library. Special events can easily translate into a unique and romantic affair. Movie screenings, silent auctions or other fundraising galas happen throughout the year. No one will ask questions about how much the evening costs if you are having fun together.
Take advantage of free music and movies. Most people have some sort of streaming subscription these days. Plus, renting movies here and there or buying new albums adds up. Trade in those purchases, and head to the library. You might be able to save $20-30 a month or more depending on how much you typically spend. Every dollar helps towards debt elimination.
Attend classes and other learning opportunities. Computer classes, job training, taxes, arts & crafts and so much more might be offered at your local library. These classes can be a great opportunity, especially if you are trying to switch careers. Extra training can go a long way on a resume.
